Homeowners

Building a new home can be a daunting task and even with experience or guidance there are always decisions that are hard to make. “Most” homeowners are not aware of foundation options and invariably select the most cost effective foundation which is a ground supported waffle slab or more commonly known as a slab-on-grade. This type of foundation system is typical for production builders and most likely to experience movement and/or foundation problems if not designed properly. Until a soil test is performed and a foundation type has been chosen and designed, these costs will be unknown. A typical slab on grade without piers in favorable soil may cost $6/ft, however, this same foundation type may cost near $10/ft in highly expansive soil.

After literally decades of experience building in North Texas soils we know when to specify soil remediation, injections, or simply eliminate soil conditions and structurally suspend the foundation system to remove expansive soil risk completely.
